For two years we worked together with Jan Banning to develop this project about the Christina Boyer case into a book and an exhibition in The Netherlands Fotomuseum.

Through three linked exhibition spaces Christina Boyer’s story unfolds. In the first room newspaper articles about her case are presented together with 75 portraits of Christina and her fellow inmates. The second space displays cutouts of family photos, facsimiles of Christina’s diaries, case documents and Banning’s photographic interpretations of elements of her case. The last space explores Christina’s associations with Banning’s photo’s of Georgia, places she has not seen in her 30 years of incarceration. 

The book The Verdict, was designed by us and published by Schilt Publishing.
