My House, Your House, contains texts written originally in Dutch by Annie M.G. Schmidt, Han G. Hoekstra and Bibi Dumon Tak, that have been translated into English, Hebrew and Arabic. The design interweaves the translations in a playful manner without one language ever becoming dominant, so that both children and adults can take pleasure in each other’s language and culture.
Additionally, the book contains a few surprising touches: recipes originating from various cultures, a game incorporating the different languages, and four versions of the Dutch song Dikkertje Dap on CD
