The Nieuw Sinfonietta Amsterdam – now known as the Amsterdam Sinfonietta – is an ensemble consisting of 22 string players, led by violinist and artistic leader Candida Thompson. The ensemble is well known for its audacious choice of music and its innovative collaborations.
