Brenton Hamilton is a well-known mentor and teacher on the campus of Maine Media Workshops and a leading educator and historian. For over 25 years he has created a sustained body of work, mostly concentrated within the historic processes employing 19th century photography techniques. Influenced by the Surrealist motifs, he shapes a new landscape in his photographs. In editing the impressive amount of work Hamilton submitted, we chose a selection of human anatomy, astronomy and botanical imagery to create an intriguing and visually appealing arrangement.
